Plasma Displays are experiencing tremendous growth both in home theater and corporate markets. Recent price reductions and quality improvements have made plasma a viable alternative for many applications. Their thin profile and excellent image quality make them ideal for tradeshow and retail display use, as well as for home entertainment and small corporate boardrooms. Their main limitation is image size, currently 61" diagonal maximum, and their widescreen aspect ratio, which makes them better suited for displaying DVD and HDTV content than computer data. Nevertheless, plasma screens continue to gain footing in the pro A/V market.
