If your presentation system consists of a projector displaying a PC running Powerpoint
and an occasional videotape, you have a very simple system. All that's required to operate it is to hit the ON/OFF button on the remote, and switch to the VCR with another button. If that's all you need to do, congratulations! Your life is easy.
But what if you actually have 2 or 3 separate PCs? And you want to easily hook up a laptop? And you have a document camera. And videoconferencing. And a DVD Player. And a satellite tuner? Next thing you know you have a box with a half-dozen remote controls in it and a rack full of equipment as tall as you are and nobody knows how to run the room. Without a dedicated A/V expert standing by during every presentation, you're probably in for some serious technical difficulties, which of course will probably happen in front of your most important clients.
What's the solution to this mess? Touchpanels. They will make life much easier for you and any other users of the room, and will actually enhance your organization's professional image. A touchpanel control system can replace all of your remotes, and provide an easy to use graphical interface for controlling everything in the room, including things like lighting and drapes. The idea is to give your people a better way to control all that equipment. As a bonus, a touchpanel can make your system "user-proof" by providing only the controls they need, and allowing you to safely lock your equipment rack, preventing well-intentioned presenters tampering with your system.
Touchpanels are custom-programmed for every project. They can display graphics and icons that make sense for your organization. And you can reduce multiple tasks to a single button press. For example, we can create a "PRESENTATION MODE" button that will simultaneously close the drapes, roll down the screen, turn on the projector, dim the lights, activate the lectern microphone, and display the Powerpoint PC. And you can control virtually any electronic device from the same place. It makes using complex systems a no-brainer, which your CEO will appreciate when he steps up to the podium.
Spectrum's showroom is controlled entirely by touchpanels, including a boardroom, computer training room, and auditorium with multiple screens. This is the only place that we know of where you can view integrated systems with this level of functionality. All that's required is to give us a call to arrange for your visit. We'll be glad to show you our systems!
